IBPS Clerk 2018 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for IBPS Clerk 2018, a candidate needs to follow the three major criteria:

Nationality

A candidate is required to be

A citizen of India

A subject of Nepal

A subject of Bhutan

A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of settling permanently in India or

A person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam and have the intention of settling permanently in India

All these refugees or migrants must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India issued in their favour

There are certain educational qualifications that a candidate must adhere to while applying for the post of Clerical Cadre through IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam

Educational Qualification

A candidate must possess a minimum qualification of Graduation from a recognized University/Institute in any discipline

A candidate must possess valid marksheet/degree certificates that state that he/she is a graduate on the day he/she registers for the exam. It should also indicate the percentage of Marks obtained in Graduation while registering online

Apart from the educational Qualification and the nationality of a candidate, certain age limit is also implicated by IBPS on the candidates. The required Age Limit for IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam is:

Age Limit

    Minimum Age Limit: 20 years

    Maximum Age Limit: 28 years

    A candidate must not have born before 02.08.1988 and not later than 01.08.1996 (both dates inclusive)

If a candidate fails to fall into the given Eligibility Criteria as stated by IBPS Clerk 2017-18 Notification released by IBPS for IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam, he/she will be debarred from taking in the exam.
