Back in 2011, IBPS started the Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruiting officers and clerks in all Public Sector Banks. Earlier this exam was known as IBPS PO exam but now the name has been changed to IBPS CWE.

IBPS PO Exam Centre 2019
The Exam Centres for IBPS PO 2019 will be allotted after the registration process is complete. Candidates are given the option to select the exam center of their choice while filling in the application form. However, if there is non-availability of seats at preferred venues, IBPS may allot an exam center other than the choices made by the candidate.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2019
The IBPS PO 2019 exam is going to be conducted in three phases: preliminary examination, mains examination and the Interview Process.
The Preliminary Exam has to be completedwithin a time frame of 1 hour. It is conducted in online mode in three sections namely Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language.
Candidates must clear the cut-off in all 3 sections to qualify for the IBPS PO Main exam.
A candidate has to clear both preliminary and mains examination to be eligible for the interview process.

Major changes were noticed in IBPS PO Mains Exam 2018. We expect the changes to sustain for IBPS PO 2019 exam as well. Let’s have a look at all the changes one by one.
- The IBPS PO Main exam has 4 sections with a total score of 200 marks that has to be completed within a time frame of 180 minutes.
- The number of questions asked in IBPS PO Mains 2018 were reduced from 200 to 155.
- IBPS also introduced a descriptive paper in its mains exam for selection of candidates to the post of Probationary officer.
- The time duration for completing the multiple sections was also altered for Prelims Exam. Now each section in the prelims exam has to be completed in 20 minutes.
- There will be no particular section for Computer Applications. Reasoning section has been teamed up with Computer Aptitude section that will comprise of 45 questions carrying a total of 60 marks that needs to be completed within 60 minutes.
IBPS PO Syllabus 2019
The IBPS PO syllabus is almost same for Preliminary phase and Mains Exam. A candidate needs to be well versed in Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Computer Awareness and General Awareness to scale high in this exam.

IBPS PO 2019 Eligibility Criteria
A candidate is required to hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university in order to be eligible for IBPS PO 2019 exam. He/She must be on minimum 20 years of age to apply for this exam.

IBPS PO 2019 Application Fee
A candidate is required to pay Rs. 600/- (General and OBC) as their application fee for IBPS PO 2019 exam. The same amount is narrowed down to Rs. 100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.

IBPS PO Preparation
To score high in IBPS PO 2019 Exam, it is really necessary for each and every candidate to look into the latest exam pattern and the change in syllabus so that IBPS preparation can be done accordingly.
How to Prepare for Each Topic
Every section asked in IBPS PO 2019 Exam has its importance and weightage. So it’s really necessary for the candidates to prepare for each section separately and with extra care keeping in mind their strengths and weaknesses. This will help them to make less error in the exam and score more.
Quantitative Aptitude: If you know all the basics and formulae related to each chapter, then this section is a piece of cake for you. To score high in this section, you need to get your basics right. Questions asked in this section are mostly direct and formulae based.

Reasoning: This is a tricky section, hence prepare accordingly. Time management and accuracy is really necessary in this section. This section can turn out to be a game changer for you if you score really well in this section as the questions asked in Reasoning are really challenging and surprising.
Important topics to keep in mind while preparing for this section are: Logical Reasoning, Syllogism, Blood Relation, Verbal Reasoning, Coding-Decoding, Puzzle etc.
English Language: This section has both easy as well as tricky sections. Questions are asked almost from each topics but the frequency of question might differ. It’s really necessary for the candidate to know which topic holds maximum marks and prepare accordingly.
Important topics to keep in mind while preparing for this section are: Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbles, Fill in the blanks, paragraph completion.
General Awareness: This is one section that is asked without any implication of flashy and mind boggling questions. You are required to be aware of all the Current Affairs and Financial Awareness to scale high in this section.
Computer Aptitude: Very basic questions are asked in this section. Being an important section of the Mains Exam, it is necessary to prepare really well for this section. Candidates can expect expect questions from Computer Hardware and Software, History, Basic Terminologies, Operating System and Networking.
